The Shining Star Foundation (the "Foundation") is a 501(c)(3) public charity that supports employees of CKE Restaurants and CKE's participating franchisees: StarCorp LLC, Superior Star LLC and Phase Three Brands ("Participating Franchisees"). The Foundation administers an employee assistance program, funded by employee contributions with the mission of helping employees in time of need. 

 

Team members can contribute to the fund through payroll deductions or one-time gifts. By doing so, other team members facing personal challenges, unforeseen hardships, difficult situations or sudden emergencies, can apply for a grant up to $2,000 once every three years.

Applications are reviewed and decided by the Foundation Board monthly.  The process may take up to one month depending on when the application is received.  Applications which require follow-up communications may necessitate additional time. Exceptions to this timing will be considered under emergency circumstances and will be communicated accordingly.
